Description
The Unitree R1 EDU Pro D (U6) brings touch to five fingers. Its two BrainCo Revo 2 Touch hands each carry a multi-dimensional fingertip tactile module, the five-finger counterpart of the Pro B's touch-sensing Dex3-1 hands, on the same 100 TOPS backpack and with full secondary development.
Each Revo 2 Touch has five fingers with 11 degrees of freedom, 6 of them active, so the robot has 38 in all. BrainCo gives every Revo 2 a 383 g weight, 160 mm from palm base to middle fingertip, a full-fist grip of at least 50 N, a pinch of at least 15 N, a payload of at least 20 kg and 0.1° repeatability. Both hands connect to XT30 power, a signal port and a camera port on the backpack's dexterous-hand expansion module.
Under the hands sits the R1 EDU: 26 joints, about 1.23 m and 29 kg, a binocular depth camera, unitree_sdk2 in C++ and Python on DDS with ROS 2 compatibility, and URDF, STEP and MuJoCo models. The Pro D is the configuration for research into touch and fine grasping with a human-like hand.
The R1 EDU Pro C (U5) has the same five-finger Revo 2 hands without the tactile module. The R1 EDU Pro B (U4) combines touch sensing with three-finger Unitree Dex3-1 hands (40 DOF in all), and the R1 EDU Smart (U2) is the 100 TOPS robot without hands.

The fingertips. Both carry two BrainCo Revo 2 five-finger hands (11 DOF, 6 active, each; 38 DOF in all) on the 100 TOPS backpack. The Pro D's are the Revo 2 Touch, with a multi-dimensional fingertip tactile module; the R1 EDU Pro C (U5) has them without it.
A multi-dimensional fingertip tactile module on each hand, on top of what every Revo 2 offers: five fingers with 11 DOF (6 active), 383 g, a full-fist grip of at least 50 N, a pinch of at least 15 N, a payload of at least 20 kg and 0.1° repeatability.
Unitree's R1 unboxing film shows the robot in a hard transport case, a quick-release R1 smart battery, the charger and charging cable, a remote control with emergency stop, a stand set (base, support rod, bracket, quick-release clamp, wave washer and protective foam), a calibration steel shaft, body stickers and the user manual. As an R1 EDU it adds the computing backpack with its NVIDIA Jetson Orin module (100 TOPS), expansion rails, screws, the dexterous-hand expansion module and its leads. The Pro D (U6) also comes with its two BrainCo Revo 2 Touch hands, their fixing brackets, camera brackets and cables. Unitree publishes no written packing list per edition, so we confirm the full list for your configuration with your quotation.
Unitree does not recommend it. During development, avoid violent movements such as running or balance tests while the dexterous hands are fitted, and increase the shoulder motors' outward offset so the hands do not collide with the body.
Unitree's unitree_sdk2 in C++ and Python on DDS, compatible with ROS 2, with high-level and joint-level control, on the backpack's 100 TOPS development computing unit. Unitree provides URDF, STEP and MuJoCo models of the R1 for simulation.
Like every R1 EDU, the R1 EDU Pro D (U6) carries Unitree's 12-month manufacturer warranty (the R1 Basic: 8 months). It is sourced new through established distribution channels and ships worldwide, and technical support is coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. Unitree's R1 developer guide covers the SDK, the computing backpack and fitting the hands.
