- Approachable 5-DOF kinematics Five joints per arm keep the control problem simpler than on a seven-joint arm, which suits teaching and first manipulation projects.
- Compact and light At about 700 × 357 × 190 mm and 11 kg on external power, the robot moves between benches easily.
- Open interfaces The underlying system, arms, audio, lighting and visual control are open for secondary development, with smart OTA updates.
- Depth-capable vision A binocular head camera with a 146° × 124° field of view provides RGB and depth-map streams to a 10 TOPS head computer.
- Voice hardware A four-microphone array and two 3 W speakers support spoken interaction exercises.
- Smart H items itemised The end effector and any wrist camera or high-computing module in Smart H are confirmed line by line on the quotation.
Description
Smart H is a package of the Unitree R1-A5, the compact version of Unitree's dual-arm humanoid: an upper body with a 2-DOF head, a 1-DOF waist and two 5-DOF arms on a fixed base, about 11 kg on external power and 700 × 357 × 190 mm. There are no legs or wheels; the robot stays at its station and works within the 420 mm of its forearms and upper arms.
Five joints per arm make the R1-A5 the more approachable of the two arm options for a teaching lab or a first manipulation project: fewer joints to model and control than on the 7-DOF R1-A7, and a lighter robot to move between benches. Unitree opens the underlying system, the arms, audio, lighting and visual control to secondary development and supports smart OTA updates, so students and researchers write their own control and perception code against the real hardware.
The two R1-A5 Smart packages, Smart G and Smart H, share this robot and are sold separately with their own contents. Which end effector Smart H includes — a two-finger gripper, a three-finger dexterous hand or a five-finger dexterous hand — and whether it adds a wrist camera or a high-computing module such as an Orin-class board are itemised on the quotation, and that line list is the way to compare it with Smart G.
For perception the head carries a binocular camera with RGB and depth-map interfaces over a 146° × 124° field of view, an 8-core CPU and 10 TOPS of AI compute, with a second 8-core CPU in the body. Voice work uses a four-microphone array and two 3 W speakers, the robot connects over WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and it runs on external power or a Li-ion battery, for about 1.5 hours on battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Unitree R1-A5 Smart H Dual-Arm Humanoid Robot is priced at Rs. 781,800 in your market.
It is a compact choice for one: five joints per arm, a fixed base and about 11 kg, with open interfaces for students to program the arms, head, audio and vision. Labs that need the extra reach and the spare joint of seven-joint arms should look at the R1-A7 Smart packages.
The R1-A5 robot with its arms, waist, head, cameras, computers, microphones, speakers and charger, plus the Smart H items. The end effector in Smart H, and whether a wrist camera or a high-computing module is included, are listed one by one on the quotation.
No. Smart H is the fixed-base R1-A5 with no chassis. The wheeled version of this robot is the R1-A5-D, which adds a three-axis chassis and chassis LiDAR.
No to both. The R1-A7 Smart H is the seven-joint robot, with 555 mm arms and about 13 kg. The R1 Edu editions are Unitree's walking R1 humanoid with legs. The R1-A5 Smart H is an upper body only, built for manipulation at a fixed station.
It is sourced new through established distribution channels, ships worldwide and carries Unitree's 12-month manufacturer warranty, with technical support coordinated through Unitree's own service network. On-site installation is not included.
