The Dobot LUMO L1 is a versatile embodied-AI humanoid robot designed for three quite different roles: home companionship, research and education, and commercial service. It is built around DOBOT's embodied AI architecture, which combines spatial understanding, multimodal perception, autonomous mobility and continuous learning to support natural interaction with people and with real environments.
DOBOT presents the LUMO L1 as a robot that can understand the world, connect with users and evolve through real-world interaction. Its intelligence stack includes the company's own DobotWAM embodied AI foundation model, long-term memory functions that remain under the user's control, visual and voice-based emotional recognition, and brain-inspired spatial cognition for making sense of people, objects and movement in its surroundings.
Movement is handled by 30 degrees of freedom across the body, with integrated navigation and obstacle avoidance. DOBOT lists support for walking, complex dance routines, kicking, flips, martial-arts-inspired movement, expressive facial behaviour, head movement and body-language interaction.
